La la, time to update!

111.) Title: Black Ice
Author: Anne Stuart
Marcia's Grade: A. This is a very dark romance. It's almost noir-ish, and except for the "happy ending" hardly a romance at all. It's fairly sexy, with some stuff that borders on non-con and might make some readers uncomfortable. I dug it.

112.) Title: King Lear
Author: William Shakespeare
Marcia's Grade: N/A. I put N/A on the grading front for this one, because it seems kind of presumptuous for li'l old me to grade Shakespeare. Read this for my Shakespeare class. It's actually a re-read, which I don't usually count, but I spent so much time reading it latley that I figured I might as well give myself some credit. I don't know how I'm going to count books I read for school, probably on a case-by-case basis. Like not count textbooks but count texts, if that makes any sense. Anywho, back to the subject of King Lear: not my favorite Shakespearean tragedy (I'm a sucker for Hamlet), but damn good stuff. Gotta love that eye-gouging scene.

113.) Title: Smashed: Story of a Drunken Girlhood
Author: Koren Zailckas
Marcia's Grade: A-. Pretty good memoir, especially considering that the author is only a couple years older than me, and it's her first book. I've never been much of a drinker myself, but I see a lot of my friends in her story. Definitely well-written enough that it's entertaining, and more than just preachy or food for thought.

114.) Title: Something Borrowed
Author: Emily Giffin
Marcia's Grade: B. Decent chick lit. I found the main character and her love interest very unsympathetic, and her best friend even more so. The plot revolves around Rachel having an affair/falling in love with her bitchy friend Darcy's fiancee, and everyone is pretty much a stupid ass through out. Heh.

115.) Title: Darkness, Take My Hand
Author: Dennis Lehane
Marcia's Grade: A-. Dark, delicious Dennis Lehane. I've got the next Kenzie/Gennaro mystery on reserve at the library, and I cannot freaking wait.

Currently Reading:
Brighter than the Sun by Julia Quinn
The Grey King by Susan Cooper
